Most recruitment websites have a page for each sector they cover. Very few make those pages work hard. A paragraph of generic copy and a list of job titles will not rank, will not convince a client and will not tell an AI assistant why you are an expert.
Done properly, sector pages are among the most valuable pages on a recruitment website.
Why they matter
- They target the searches clients and candidates actually make, such as "fintech recruitment agency" or "data engineering jobs".
- They give hiring managers evidence of your expertise in their market.
- They give candidates a clear route to relevant roles.
- They help AI assistants understand and recommend your specialisms.
What a strong sector page includes
- A clear headline that states the specialism and location.
- An introduction to the market and the roles you recruit for.
- Live jobs in that sector, updated automatically.
- The consultants who cover it, with their experience.
- Market insight, such as salary trends and skills in demand.
- Case studies and testimonials from clients in that sector.
- FAQs for both clients and candidates.
- Clear calls to action for each audience.
Go deeper where it counts
For your most important specialisms, create sub-pages for key roles or locations, for example "cyber security recruitment London" or "cloud engineer jobs". Each should have genuinely useful, unique content, not the same text with a different keyword.
Link them together
Link sector pages from your navigation, related insights, job pages and consultant profiles. Internal links help search engines understand which pages matter most.
Keep them current
Update market insight, case studies and FAQs regularly. A page that is clearly maintained earns more trust from visitors and search engines alike.
Start with your best sector
Choose the specialism that drives the most revenue, rebuild that page properly and measure the result. Then repeat for the next.
